Many people suffer from bloating. And it seems very difficult to do something about it.
This is a topic is very dear to me because I’ve helped many clients get better.
There is a very natural treatment for bloating. And it’s not what you think. You may just have the right ingredients at home in your fridge.
So, why does bloating happen? If we understand that first, then we can tackle the problem straight away. After all, by not knowing why, we run into the problem of guessing. And then we waste time, energy, money and effort trying to do trial-and-error.
So let’s understand why it happens.
First, it’s due to poor digestion. Your body has difficulty digesting the food you’re eat. This may be due to bad foods that are simply hard to digest. This may be due to the wrong type of food due to your metabolism. In this case, it has a lot to do with your blood type.
For instance, someone with low stomach acid has a very hard time digesting red meat. Someone else may have a very difficult time digesting many legumes, like lentils. In both cases they suffer from indigestion and bloating.
So you have to observe when the bloating happens.
The first person in the example probably is a Blood Type A, who doesn’t produce a lot of stomach acid. You need lots to breakdown red meat.
The second person may be a Blood type O who has ample amounts of stomach acid but constitutionally cannot digest lentils very well. Lentils are a great food for Blood Type As though!
You must pay attention to when you feel uncomfortable after eating.
If you know your blood type, then it’s easy. If you don’t then you need to pay attention.
Second, many people think it’s beneficial to have several food groups in the same meal and to top it off with a dessert.
Here’s another tip for a natural treatment for bloating: Simple meals are best for best digestion.
If you have the typical meal with a meat, a starch like macaroni and cheese, with a vegetable and bread on the side, and a fruit pie for dessert, you’re asking for trouble!
That’s a very typical meal that contains two types of protein (meat and cheese), two types of carbohydrates (macaroni and slice of bread and the pie crust too), with a vegetable and fruit and sugar.
The human stomach simply cannot produce ALL the enzymes and stomach acids to digest all of this at once. So you will experience bloating.
The solution is simple for natural treatment for bloating: plan, cook and eat simply.
So the best combinations for optimal digestion is a small piece of meat with a lot of green leafy vegetables. The green leafy vegetables actually provide an ample amount of digestive enzymes for breaking down fats and proteins.
Examples of a good healthy, non-bloating meal would include chicken with lots of dark green kale. Or a small beef steak with lots of collard greens. Then you can add other non-starchy vegetables to it, like broccolli, celery, asparagus and zucchini.
It would be better to eat your starchy foods with those same vegetables. So you see, for optimal digestion you need to simplify.
If you observe that eating lentils and grains at the same meal causes bloating, then try eating lentils in one meal with vegetables. Eat grains with vegetables at a separate meal in the same day. You’ll get the protein effects in the same day.
Third, one more thing: don’t dilute your stomach acids with lots of beverages at meal time! You definitely reduce digestive power when you do this!
So, that’s it! Enjoy your meals again by following these simple tips for natural treatment for bloating! And there might even be the surprise bonus of losing weight. If you make it into a lifetime habit like I do.
