There is no more joy then being oneself! And you can overcome ANYTHING if you have a clear goal with a clear burning desire to achieve it. Your brain is a goal-seeking mechanism. That’s what it’s there for. And it loves it when you got something juicy for it to work on!
Luis Suarez has had some rough bumps throughout his career. But since the Brazil World Cup, everything appears to have settled down and he seems focused on being the best version of himself. His is a story that definitely shows that people can change and take full advantage of their talents. You can overcome where you came from, what you did in the past.
Ultimately, you will make mistakes. Will you learn from them? And move forward?
He was the fourth boy in a family of seven. His parents separated when he was nine years old. He practiced soccer in the streets of his home while working as a street sweeper. His life today is in huge contrast to his life as a child. He found a way out. Life has a way of handing opportunities to you, but it’s up to you to take full advantage of them.
I think the major reason why Luis Suarez went to Europe was the fact that his teenage sweetheart moved to Europe with her family. He wanted to be near her. He first blasted on the European scene when he was discovered and signed by Groningen in the Netherlands in 2006. From there, he was picked up by Ajax in 2007. From there he went to Liverpool where he played between 2011 and 2014. From there he went to play with Barcelona alongside Leo Messi and Neymar Jr. where he still is.
In everyone’s life, there’s going to be difficulties. Even though soccer has provided him a fabulous livelihood there have also been some huge challenges.
Luis Suarez got into trouble most notably for biting opponents in three different situations. The first time he did it he was playing for Ajax in Holland in 2010. He missed 7 games for that. Then in 2013 when he was playing for Liverpool, he suspended for 10 games and finally, in front of a huge international television audience in a World cup match against Italy in Brazil at the World Cup in 2014 he did it again. This time, FIFA handed down a 4 month suspension, kicked him out of the World Cup and at first, was banned from all “football-related activities,” including training with his new team, Barcelona, for four months (until 26 October). He was also banned from setting foot in any stadium, even as a spectator, during the same period. He was eventually allowed to train with his new team.
In between the trouble, he was still raking up the goals and getting individual and team awards.
But the penalties were getting harsher and harsher. Maybe he finally took that to heart. He’s turned everything around. I believe that he has found his stride. In fact, he’s having the time of his life playing for Barcelona with Messi and Neymar.
Luis Suarez recently scored his 100th goal in 120 games – he is an amazing soccer player. the bottom line is this: people can change. They can finally realize that it’s better to focus on what they’re good at and let go of the rest. This is definitely a requirement for improving life and health, including your brain health. Suarez definitely had a change of mind. He thought about the consequences of what he was doing and now he is enjoying even more success than ever.
Focus on the right things in your life. You can overcome where you came from, what you did and what you were and be the best you can be TODAY!
