Today I’m answering: how to overcome disappointments in life. I’ve seen it over and over and I answer it in some short way during my Periscope sessions, but it always seemed incomplete. So that’s why I’m addressing it in much more detail today.
The Chicago Cubs won the World Series in Major League Baseball November 2, 2016 and was a PERFECT example to illustrate my answer to how to overcome disappointments.
But first I want to talk about a major development that I announced last week. I also promised to give you a weekly progress report. I will be conducting a crowdfunding campaign for a pilot research project. I will be testing an idea that I strongly and resolutely believe in. I had NO idea it would come to this! It just takes me courage to actually execute and I’m getting braver every single day!
Start date for crowdfunding is November 24, 2016 (American Thanksgiving) thru December 23, 2016. It is the season of giving and for being with loved ones. Please support this major advance in the world of concussion and PCS treatment. It will be a unique (but not the last) opportunity to finally give people a comprehensive plan to heal brain injuries! This is PHASE I. It’s only the beginning.
This pilot research project is about a pilot online brain training course for people with PCS. I’m doing a cross over project because I can’t stand the thought of a control group who gets NOTHING. That just seems UNETHICAL to me. I explain in the video.
Support the crowdfunding project by spreading the news AND donating to it. It’s all or nothing. We won’t get the go ahead unless we’re fully funded!
I’m meeting with experts about setting up research projects including meeting with a biostatistician.
I feel SO good about this!
Now on to the question about how to overcome disappointments. In my video I talk about the crazy obstacles that the Cubs went through. And how they never gave up believing. The Cleveland Indians didn’t quite have it to the end. They lost momentum while the Cubs just seemed to double down and get to it.
It’s all MENTAL/EMOTIONAL strength! Watch the video.
The major points is that the Cubs were leading 5 – 1 and then 6 – 3, Cleveland came back to tie it up. There was lightening and a rain delay. In my mind this is what happened:
- The Cubs had a burning desire and expectations.
- They all believed as a unit which increased the positive constructive energy around the goal.
- Cubs didn’t accept the appearance of all the obstacles they faced.
- They controlled the only things they could control: Their individual minds and collective minds only became more resolved on their goal – to win the World Series, the first time in 108 YEARS!
There’s more in the video about how to overcome disappointments.
Thanks for watching, listening and reading! Share this post please! Get behind me and support the crowdfunding project by spreading the news AND donating to it. It’s all or nothing. We won’t get the go ahead unless we’re fully funded! November 24, 2016. The World needs YOUR help NOW!
