Thinking matters when you’re trying to heal your concussion. Thoughts matter. After all we ARE talking about the brain. So it matters what you are thinking and how those thoughts make you feel.
I have a beautiful wall hanging in my office. It says:

Your habitual way of thinking is critical to your health. Good and bad.
This is an ancient Buddhist saying. I’m not a Buddhist but like many people, I gather wise quotes from many sources. I happened to see this wall hanging before I moved into my first clinic and I knew this was the essence of healing.
You’ll hear more about healing your concussion in my video. Please watch the video:
In summary, there is nothing MORE important than your thoughts. If you have a concussion or PCS after several weeks, months, years and decades, then you have created certain neural networks in your brain and they become your habitual way of thinking.
You have to make a decision. Do you have a burning desire to become well again?
Notice I do not ask you if you want to get well? Getting well doesn’t happen. There is no energetic change in getting. But there is one in becoming. What do you need to become in order to overcome your current difficulty?
Nothing in life is truly permanent. You can change your brain and heal it any time. Every change that ever happened to you is because of what you were thinking – good and bad. Thoughts change the brain. Thinking the right ones will rewire the brain and you become well again.
Think about that!
