Monkey Brain. Monkey Chatter. Monkey Mind. Mental Chatter. This is something that you may be experiencing from time to time or maybe a lot of the time.
Monkey Brain is the incessant churning of thoughts. It’s often loud. Insistent. You can’t shut it up. It doesn’t turn off at night.
I talk about some of the origins of constant chatter in my video. Plus there’s a very elegant solution for it too.
Please watch the video:
When you were a baby, you were born with one kind of mind – the subconscious mind. With this mind, everything you heard or felt came from other people close to you. You were influenced by them, whether they were positive or negative. For most people by the time they were 7 years old, the conscious mind finally kicked in. The conscious mind is the mind which will voluntarily reject or accept an idea.
So what if you found out that many of your opinions aren’t really yours? Monkey brain isn’t about positive thinking. It’s about things that you haven’t taken care of. It’s about thoughts of self-doubt, self-ridicule, even yelling at yourself.
You need to identify these thoughts and then get rid of them, once and for all. But only if you do the simple little exercise I tell you about in the video.
It’s going to make a HUGE difference to your self-confidence, your peace of mind and maybe you’ll even start getting a much better night’s sleep!
Enjoy!
