Low fat diets are destroying your brain. The brain itself is made of our own version of saturated fat and it needs fat to stay healthy. The myth about dietary fats, especially saturated fats, began with a well known scientist and researcher named Ansel Keys who presented his “lipid hypothesis” to the World Health Organization in 1955.
He claimed that dietary fat raised cholesterol, which subsequently increased the rate of heart disease. The American Heart Association immediately jumped in and embraced his hypothesis, warning that butter, eggs, meat, and other saturated fat-rich foods contributed to heart disease. They began to pitch low fat diets to prevent it. At the time, heart disease was rising and they didn’t know why. They thought this was the answer.
And the rest is history. However, there is NO truth that dietary fats, including saturated fats are the cause of heart disease. So in this video, I look at all sides of this issue.
Watch the video:
In summary, we need to understand that one-size-fits-all solutions including low fat diets and high fat low carb diets are not solutions at all. They have caused higher rates than ever obesity and dementia including Alzheimer’s. Heart disease rates have not decreased. Why is that?
Yet, many conventional dieticians, nutritionists and especially MDs still hold on to this fallacy. Your medical doctor is very likely still prescribing statin drugs like Lipitor for lowering high cholesterol levels. You should note that statin drugs are the biggest money maker of all pharmaceutical drugs, to the tune of $100 BILLION.
Modern medicine just makes people more afraid and that is NO place to be when you’re trying to heal!
Let’s have some integrity here. Let’s get at the truth.
In Chinese Medicine we know that everyone is born with strengths and weaknesses. We don’t know what they all are until we are confronted by potentially upsetting circumstances. How do we behave, feel, think and react is SO important and critical to our wellbeing – both psychologically FIRST and THEN physically. It’s not that we’re crazy but we may become “beside ourselves” during a crisis. Temporarily.
And Yes, only a comprehensive diagnostic process can determine exactly what your diet should look like and that process based on Chinese Medicine is where you’ll get a customized dietary plan for your particular constitution.

We cannot afford to wait for MDs to catch up! I have to become the advocate the activist doctor because no one else is ready to step in. With the tragic murder-suicide of McCann Utu Jr due to inept “management” of his Post Concussion Syndrome, it is paramount that we must do things differently. No more lives so needlessly lost!
