What if you started to act like the Perfect 10 that you really are?
Remember what you were like as a kid?
Watch how one person converted all that energy to a perfect performance.
Nadia Comăneci was born with a lot of energy, drive and talent – by the way, no different from you and me! She had so much crazy energy she managed to break down 4 couches in her family home from all the jumping she did as a very young child. I don’t know how her parents handled these situations but in the end they were there for her.
She was at school one day and with along with a friend, they were doing cartwheels in the playground. A coach, Bela Karolyi, just happened to be walking by and noticed what they had just done. He managed to find out who they were and contacted the parents to invite them to his gymnastics school.
As I said in my video, he put the girls through some tests to try out. Nadia impressed him so much because of the way she didn’t respond to balance beam. Imagine walking on a beam, that’s a few feet off the ground and it’s only 4″ wide and you have to walk the ENTIRE 4 feet.
Nadia did it. Fearlessly, like it was no big deal.
On 18 July 1976, Nadia Comăneci, now just 14 years old, performed in the uneven bars event, and was awarded a score of 10. But because the scoreboard was designed to display only three digits, it displayed her score as 1.00!
Imagine the confusion. Then the announcer finally informed the elated crowd that she had scored a perfect 10. I’ll never forget it!
Comăneci scored a total of seven 10s at the 1976 Olympics—four on the uneven bars and three on the balance beam. Her main rival, Russian Nelli Kim, scored two perfect 10s in the same competition, in the vault and floor exercise. She opened the flood gates so that a perfect 10 was finally possible.
The realm of possibility exists. It always has and always will. Mediocrity is encouraged every day. It’s called a job. What you want is a calling. Many of my clients suffered physically and mentally because of the “Being Small” syndrome even though they were indeed successful people. But while teaching them to see who they really are, they regained that confidence and fire that they once had as a naturally curious and adventurous kid.
What will you do to set up your Perfect 10?
