Things always work out, even when things look really really bad.
Watch this video and you’ll see what I mean:
When I decided to do this video (or any of my videos) I had no idea what I was going to end up talking about. I don’t plan my videos too closely. I feel confident enough that I can speak from the Heart. And that’s really important to me. So if someone asks me to remake a video, it’s going to be a different video because I won’t repeat exactly word for word what was said previously.
I want to say that life will be hard at times. You know that. You’re going to have to make decisions.
I spent 24 years in corporate Calgary. It almost caused a serious health problem. I didn’t know that how I was feeling and what I was thinking was making such a huge impact on my life. That’s why these blogs and these videos are very important to me.
I can tell you about the mistakes I made. I don’t want you to repeat them.
It was while I was the volunteer president of our community soccer program that one of my true-blue volunteers first made this remark to me. I told him about some of our challenges. He told me, “You know, in retrospect, things always work out in the end.” I paused and thought about that. I’ve never forgotten what he said. It really means that there’s not much point in getting all upset and focusing only on the negative.
We may fret. We may hate the thought of being laid off or fired, and it may be really really hard to think about it this way, but it probably was DEEP down what you wanted, a kick in the butt. I’ve learned over the last several years that when you’re shoved out of something, that it’s God’s way of answering your most secret prayers.
Life does that.
If you’re really honest with yourself, you’ll see how you actually set things in motion to force a change that we say intellectually we don’t want, but in reality, we’re just too afraid to take that step ourselves.
So, remember this: things always work out in the end. No need to fret.
