Changing seasons from summer to winter or vice-versa
Change is inevitable but your reaction to it need not be.
The tree is my favourite symbol. I love trees. They are constant, meaning they stay put but they are always changing. Their branches often go where the winds blow. And sometimes the wind blows hard. Sometimes so hard that trees are uprooted. They fall down. Do you hear them complaining?
How do you handle change?
Watch the short video.
I told you last fall to stop listening to your body, but I also told you the week after not to neglect it either. Contradiction? Yes and no. How’s that for another contradiction?
Seriously. Your mind is very important. Your mind is what leads the way. Your body follows what’s on your mind. Actually your physical world follows what’s on your mind.
Ever notice that when you FEEL good, your body feels good too. The muscles feel loose. The joints aren’t so stiff.
Be in the moment with that good feeling.
Most people, they suddenly realize that all is well and THEN they remember their aches and pains! And lo and behold, that good feeling is gone. They ACTUALLY look for the pain. It all takes a matter of seconds to manifest well being and change it to ill being!
This is stress.
Change. You’re in control of it. Change. You can deal with it. Don’t focus on the pain. Focus on healing. Just like the wind that blows through a tree’s boughs. It goes one direction one day. Another the next. Or is perfectly absent another.
The tree doesn’t mind.
Stress is the perpetrator of all disease, pain and injury. Modern research is finally catching up to Ancient Classical Chinese Medicine. But it’s going to take a VERY long time for them to figure out how to help you. If you require hand holding, please come join us at www.destressingleadership.com on Friday January 29 2016.
Skeptical about the do-nothing approach for your concussion? Disillusioned and abandoned by your doctors because you’ve got Post-Concussion Syndrome? Tired of old chronic injuries? Got a new one that’s taking a long time to heal? Or want to avoid surgery and narcotic pain killers?
