Antonio Brown won’t be playing football this weekend and it’s BIG news on Facebook and Twitter. Tons of shares.
The controversy started last week when Pittsburg ended up beating the Cincinnati Bengals for this weekend’s playoff spot. Bengals cornerback Adam Jones accused Brown of faking his head injury, saying that Antonio Brown winked at him as he passed by.
I watched the hit, Antonio Brown looked like a rag doll as he fell to earth. It wasn’t a pretty sight. In the heat of the moment people say things and I know it hurts when you lose in the dying seconds of the game, but that’s LIFE. Disappointments will happen on any given day.
But do we have to give in to them? Becoming aware about how you feel is very important.
Antonio Brown’s concussion makes people think. I’m glad he’s being taken care of. But you know what? Recovery isn’t going to be easy given the state of concussion “treatments” in conventional medicine. Here we sit on ALL this marvelous research in neuropsychology, neuroscience and neuroplasticity and the best “treatment” that the greatest minds in neurology (paid $100 Million by the NFL) can up with is “exercise.”
Man, these people exercise for a living!
So let’s cut the crap. The answer is in the piles of research just lying on shelves gathering dust. But I have GOOD news. I studied the research and it suddenly dawned on me why my clients were getting better faster and recovering at record pace – it didn’t matter what injury it was – but ESPECIALLY concussions.
The brain is easy to heal. Period. If you know what to do. If you know how to trigger the right type of brain plasticity that grows and repairs brain cells. You see brain plasticity can work both ways – it can grow or it can shrink. A healthy brain grows.
