Are you trying to be perfect in all things? Do you know any perfectionists? Are you one? Would you like to become a recovering perfectionist?
As much as you might want everything in its place. As much as you want people to behave the way you them to. Guess what you have no control over what’s happening outside of you. But you do have control over what you do.
And if you’re a perfectionist, you’re wasting precious resources, time and energy trying to be perfect.
Here’s why – you’re going to end up missing opportunities because you can’t see them. You’re too focused on little unimportant things. You’re going to miss out on having fun and having enjoyment of the very things you enjoy doing because again, you’re focused on the wrong things.
I agree that you have improve yourself in certain areas to make yourself a winner, but you must ask yourself if you’re focused on certain things because you’re procrastinating on acting on the important things you should be doing. You know what those things are. So examine yourself. And get it straight.
Decide what’s really important to you. The litmus test of course is why is this important?
Then, what are you going to drop, let go, put out of your mind. Hold on to your motivation. You’re already perfect as long as you’re being who you are!
