Olga Corbut was an extraordinary gymnast from the then USSR who performed splendidly during the Munich Olympics in 1972. Watch the amazing video that brought her from deep despair to resounding victory. Only mental toughness can get you through life’s disappointments and there will be many. But the question is whether you get yourself back on track.
It’s a cliche that says that you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on that horse. It’s a good idea to forget the bad. That’s what separates the greatest athletes from others in the same competition. You can be this strong too and you probably have been this strong. So forget the bad when it happens. Learn from it because you must at least take note to make sure you don’t repeat the same mistakes, right?
Then, just like Olga Korbut, you come back and you win. You have that potential. I know you do. Enjoy the video as Olga Korbut tells her story!
