Pattie Mallette is the mother of Justin Beiber and she’s recently put her mark down. “She is the executive producer of the short film, Cresendo, which carries a strong pro-life message”, writes Sarah Boesveld for the National Post.
Of course such topics as the right-to-life and the right-to-abortion have the potential to create lively discussions as both sides have very strong opinions. And that’s all I’m interested in. I’m not here to take sides but to point out some interesting observations.
Young Justin is reportedly not happy with his mother going public with her opinions. Yes, she was a young teenager when she discovered her pregnancy and she DECIDED to give birth to her baby. Yes, that was the best decision she could’ve made for HERSELF at the time.
Justin may not agree with his mother doing what she’s doing. But in reality he cannot control what she says or does with her OWN life. His mother also has no control over what he says or does with his life. Disapproval is always a conscious judgement call.
Do you see what’s happening here? Do you see the greater picture?
You have to live your life and speak your mind, without fear of what everyone else thinks.
That is how you know if you’re strong or not. If you bite your tongue, stay within artificial boundaries, you deny who you are. This is not the same as choosing between right and wrong, though. There’s still universal right and wrong.
You were a maverick as a young child. You did in deed speak your mind when you were little. It’s interesting that many elderly suddenly start saying what’s on their minds too. They finally get the courage and realize there’s nothing to lose from speaking truthfully their own truth.
I see people walking around in life tip toeing through life, walking on egg shells because they’re so afraid to offend! They can’t be honest. They can’t say what’s on their mind. They put themselves behind artificial self constructed walls to hide their true feelings and thoughts from others. Are you one of those?
I bet you have something important to say to your self, to your spouse, your family, your colleagues, the world. Is that inner maverick dying to come out?
This is another one of those spiritual rights that you have. Speak your truth. That’s where your personal power comes from.
