If you’ve had difficulties this year, then it’s probably a good time to review some of the unchanging laws that the universe has for you.Following these universal laws will decrease your stress levels and increase your happiness and therefore, health levels in 2013.
1. You can control only what you can control. The only things you can control are yourself: your thoughts, your feelings, your decisions, the actions you take from those decisions, and the results that come from them.
2. The sister to control is responsibility. You are responsible for the above. If you have children you are responsible to and for them until the age of majority.
3. Practice the art of letting go. You have to decide if whatever you’re doing and creating stress for you, is worth it to your health and wellbeing.
4. Sacrifice means exchanging something of a lower order for something that is of a higher order. Will the result you want going to benefit a ton of people or animals, whatever, but will expose you to public ridicule and censure or disdain? It’s said that when your friends and colleagues aren’t laughing or being downright derisive of your ideas, you’re NOT thinking BIG enough! Think about that!
While I was searching for something in Google a few weeks ago, I found my article about how to prevent Parkinson’s. I read the comments. They were in a skeptic’s website.
While reading the comments, I became angry. Then I realized, oh, this is a test for me, since I’d been thinking only a short time before what it would mean to be catapulted into the limelight. You know only too well, that the news likes to pick up negative news about people, right? So here were my professional opinions being skewered.
Then I began to see a silver lining in all of this. These people were writing not nice things about me, yet they DIDN’T have the guts to TALK to me about it. They weren’t interested in learning something new! NO, they were just willing to accept the STATUS QUO and be HELPLESS. Then I knew. I knew it doesn’t matter what other people are saying, especially when THEY haven’t forwarded any solutions!
Many so-called skeptic websites aren’t about skepticism at all! A skeptic is someone who actually wants to find out more. They’re open to learning something new. A CYNIC is someone who merely criticizes, often from IGNORANCE. That’s what these so-called skeptic websites should really be called. Cynical.
5. Don’t look for trouble. Instead look for what you want. This is what “Seek and You Shall Find” really means.
If you really want things to be different, then you have to BE different, and that means you have to change! I know you’re an intelligent person, but are you also a brave one? Start saying “No” to things that cause you grief and pain. Start saying “Yes” to the things that will make you happy and productive.
