In my last entry, I pointed out that people who cured them selves of the most dire circumstances had common traits. Even as I emphasized their belief in their own ability to heal, there was one other thing in there that’s equally important.
I don’t want you to miss it. It was point #6 and it was about change. You see, there is no magic bullet. So while they very strongly believed that they were going to take control of their lives, they didn’t do so by standing still.
They were successful in their quest because they did the only thing which only they could control. Their habits. They did not accept the status quo. They knew they had to change in order to change the outcome.
This always requires changing habits that got them into trouble in the first place. What kind of habits are these? Okay, there are the usual ones about diet and exercise. But why don’t people do these things automatically any ways? What makes us forget what we already knew naturally as babies?
Ever watch babies? When you were born, you were born happy. You had faith that your needs would be taken care of. You were sociable and you loved being touched. In fact, without touch, you would’ve died early.
But as you grew up, there was less touching, less encouragement perhaps, more commands to conform. That breaks the spirit. This is what creates disease, a breaking of spirit.
More tomorrow.
