I read an article by Christie Blatchford. She’d been seeing signs promoting “group womb cleanses”. What the heck is this, she thought. That’s why I decided to write about what a normal menstrual cycle looks like.
A lot of girls and women suffer. Some really don’t like it. And some “genious” gynecologists and drug companies have found a pharmaceutical way to stop them. This is a perfectly good example about research dollars being used for “lifestyle” drugs. It’s definitely not about health.
Do you want to be healthy sexually and reproductively? Do you want menopause to be a breeze – because it is in many parts of the world?
Here’s what you can do to help yourself during your monthly womb cleanse. That’s what your monthly period is! And for guys reading this, you can pass along the information to the women in your lives:
1. Keep the body warm.
2. Take it easy as far as physical activity is concerned; light exercise only.
3. Get enough rest.
4. Relax, stay calm emotionally.
5. Eat well.
6. Uphold good hygiene.
7. No sexual intercourse during your period. This is a big no-no. One of my professors, who was also a trained Western gynecologist, pointed out that his studies in Chinese medicine indicated that this is a major cause of disease in the sexual organs in women. He was in total agreement with this wise assessment.
8. Make blood all month long: before, during, and after your period.
